So many of us read about survivors and don’t realize the courage it takes to face the abuse and then also face the courage to heal. Then there’s another layer of courage needed to continue sharing your story. I am SO PROUD of my friend for relentlessly sharing his story and being a bold, brave and faithful voice for the many that are still voiceless. Here’s a ten minute interview he recently did. (*Be aware there is mature content in this video if you have little ears around you.)This post is my small way to say THANK YOU @JeromeElam & all survivors that are using their story to fight! #humantrafficking Click To Tweet
This month’s post is my small way to say, “THANK YOU, JEROME!” and other survivors that are using their story to fight the very good fight. I also ask that you join us in the fight to end human trafficking and save the next child before they are sentenced to a vandalized childhood with a lifetime of broken hopes and dreams. Learn the signs of human trafficking and call the human trafficking hotline at 1-888-3737-888 if you suspect someone is being trafficked. To learn more about the signs of human trafficking visit the Polaris Project website: http://www.polarisproject.org/human-trafficking/recognizing-the-signs or the Department of Homeland Security’s Blue Campaign http://www.dhs.gov/blue-campaign/indicators-human-trafficking.
